About PossAbilities Thrift

The PossAbilities Thrift Boutique concept started as a small, specialized store easily accessible for those utilizing our food pantry services, and the local community in need. Located inside of our Phillipsburg Day Program, individuals receiving services would engage in various tasks helping to clean, organize, and display items for sale. As the demand increased, we recognized that the space no longer served its purpose and the search for a new location began!

After much consideration and some major construction, we moved the thrift store, food pantry, and day habilitation program into an expanded Phillipsburg location on South Main Street. The thrift store expansion quadrupled our retail space allowing for greater inventory selection and the addition of larger furniture pieces, homegoods, and more! We celebrated with a Grand Opening ribbon cutting in September 2018.

After a successful opening of the expanded Phillipsburg location, we began searching for opportunities to continue the PossAbilities Thrift Boutique concept to other locations in our service area. Our thrift store concept is dual purpose: a vocational training, career exploration, and volunteer opportunity site for people with disabilities; and valuable service to the local community providing quality resale merchandise at affordable prices.

Working with our affiliate, Allies Inc, we took the next steps and expanded our PossAbilities Thrift Boutique concept into Flemington! March 2019 we celebrated the Church St. location Grand Opening and ribbon cutting.

After many successful years in the Flemington area, we began our search for a new location that would better serve our customers and allow us to expand offerings to our valued customers. Our new PossAbilities Thrift Boutique Flemington location is conveniently located within the Hunterdon Shopping Center, just off of route 31! The space is more than quadruple from the previous location, and offers more options for clothing, home goods, and larger furniture pieces.
